Significance of early detection of liver cancer

The occurrence of early tumors is often accompanied by specific DNA methylation abnormalities, and tumor suppressor gene silencing caused by methylation of tumor suppressor gene promoter regions is an early event in tumorigenesis;

During the process of apoptosis and necrosis of tumor cells, a large number of tumor DNA fragments will be released into the peripheral blood, resulting in a much higher abnormal DNA content in peripheral blood than healthy people;

By detecting abnormal methylation of tumor DNA fragments in plasma, the corresponding cancer can be detected.
